If you were going to make a mix of love songs, what five songs would you *have* to include?

Alright...  Five love songs.  This may be kind of hard for me, because honestly, love songs usually make me want to throw up.  I know I'm a girl and I should just fall all over them, but that's just not me (usually).  So I guess the five that I would have to include would just be my five favorites, and they are...

1.  Born To Be My Baby by Bon Jovi...  Not like a traditional love song I guess, but look at the words.  Love. You were born to be my baby/And baby I was made to be your man/We've got something to believe in/Even if we don't where we stand
2.  Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars...  This one has to be there because A) LISTEN to him.  And B) Who doesn't want to be told they're perfect just the way they are?
3.  What It Takes by Adam Gregory...  This song is just beautiful.  I wanna know/Need to understand/What it takes to be your man
4.  Keep The Girl by Jason Aldean...  His dreams or the girl of his dreams?  Guess which he picks...
5.  God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes...  I made the CD for my cousin's wedding ceremony and she wanted to use this for her unity candle song, and it's really breathtaking and beautiful.

So there you go...  My five favorite love songs.  Yay!

Sorry, no Hunk Thursday this week, but we will get back to it next week :)

Friday Happy Hour

Ohh mental_floss, I love you and your randomness on Friday Happy Hour!

Soo here are my answers:

1.  In an effort to churn out better-prepared graduates, you’ve been hired to develop one course that all high school seniors must take. The topic is up to you: personal finance, the U.S. Constitution, health and wellness, changing flat tires. What would your class be?  Time management.  Such an important skill for anything you do in life.
2.  When did you first go online? I don't really remember...  Probably around 2000 maybe?
3.  What’s the strangest compliment you’ve received?  Hmmmm....  My grandma told me once that I had pretty nails and they weren't even painted or anything so it was a little weird lol
4.  If you were putting on a conference for people in your profession, who would be your first choice for keynote speaker? And a follow-up: who’s the best speaker you’ve seen at a conference?  My choice would be Tom Mock.  I know he's not well-known, but to me he's one of the best radio guys ever.  The best speaker I've seen at a conference was Joe Theissman.  He spoke at National FFA Convention (I don't remember which year) and I thought he was really great :)

Off to St. Joe to cheer for the Dawgs tonight!  Babysitting all day tomorrow and then lazy day Sunday maybe :)

Ooops!

I have been a little behind on blogging lately, so here's what we missed:

--Met my brother's girlfriend last night...  Did not like her that much.
--Lost football game to Lexington Friday.
--Went to Ren Fest and Joe's Crab Shack on Saturday and it was AWESOME
--Sucked it up at bowling Sunday night...  74 on first game and 76 on second.  But I did get my pretty orange bag :)
--Going bowling tonight with the boss and his wife and her mom and sister and my mom
And...
--I am getting REALLY pumped for NaNoWriMo next month!  I have a title, but no plot yet...  I should probably work on that!  Also, signed up for the CD swap so I'm off to make a list for that!

Friday Happy Hour

Sooo this Friday I'm doing something different...  I found Friday Happy Hour on mental_floss and I really liked the questions today.  Here we go!

  1. Are you in the habit of inventing words?  Heard any interesting made-up words lately?  Mom and I make up words sometimes, but usually it's unintentional, like we just get tongue tied or something.  One of them that has stuck with us is houdinan-macaroni and cheese with tuna in it.  I've also been told that I used to make up words when I was little...  Matmeal was ice cream and a hobnot was an elephant.
  2. What seasonal food or beverage do you most look forward to when the autumnal equinox rolls around?  Two words:  Pumpkin spice.  Anything that is pumpkin flavored, I love.  Cappuccino, cookies, Hershey's Kisses...  YUM.
  3. Are there any old-timey traditions you'll miss when they're rendered obsolete by technology?  Hand-written letters for sure.  And books...  With all the e-readers coming out, I'm afraid actual paper books will be kind of rare, but I hope not.  I ♥ books :)
  4. What popular comedians or sitcoms do you just not find funny?  Well quite honestly, I don't watch any new sitcoms, so I guess I don't really have an answer for this one...  Sorry!
That was fun!  Off to do the rest of my work for the day so we can head to Lexington later for the game tonight...  GO BULLDOGS!
